Amazon recently reported revenue of $108.52 billion for its first fiscal quarter, which was a year-over-year increase of 44%. Adding in the company’s guidance for the second quarter, Amazon will likely report revenue of approximately $220 billion for the first half of the year. Let’s put that number into perspective – Amazon’s first-half sales would place them 53rd in a ranking of countries by GDP, ranking just behind New Zealand.
